In just his second season in the league, Ja Morant is becoming the Memphis Grizzlies leader. The reigning Rookie of the Year leads the team with 18.4 points and 7.7 assists per game and appears to be getting better and better. Morant has 20-plus points in five of his past ten and has averaged over 24 a night in those games. The Grizzlies point guard also has seven games of seven-plus assists over his past ten and has average nine dimes a game over that span, including a triple-double against the Thunder.

During his sophomore season, Morant has improved his points and assists numbers as well as field-goal attempts, three-point attempts, and free throws. With six double-doubles on the season, the 21-year-old is on pace to pass his 15 double-doubles from his freshman year. He’s put up many of his top games against much stronger defenses than Washington.
The Wizards are giving up the second-most points in the league, allowing almost 120 a game. Washington is also in the bottom-ten in three-pointers allowed, opponent’s field goal and three-point percentage, and free throws made. Morant gets to the line over five times a game and shoots nearly 80 percent from the charity stripe.
Memphis is a -1 point road favorite while the Moneyline is razor-thin at -116 and -102 for Washington. The FanDuel Sportsbook’s total is at a chubby 235.5, so expect this one to be a shootout with the Grizzlies having to score to keep up with the give and take Wizards.
Atlanta Hawks John Collins vs. Miami Heat
The Bet: Under 18.5 Points (-118)
John Collins has seen his scoring average down from his past two seasons. The Hawks big man is averaging just over 18 a game after 19.5 and 21.6 PPG in his past two seasons. Collins is taking the fewest shots per game since his rookie season three years ago and is playing nearly three minutes less than he was last season.
The 23-year-old forward is actually coming off his second-highest scoring performance of the year, hanging 34 on the Heat on Sunday. His big game against Miami is actually a good thing as the Heat are not the type of defense that will get lit up twice in a row. The South Beach bunch are giving up the sixth-fewest points in the league, allowing 109.3 per game. They also excel on the defensive end, where Collins plays well on offense. Miami is the league’s top-team defending the paint, giving up just over 40 points per game. Bam Adebayo’s defense is also top-ten in limiting opponents’ two-point field goal percentage to only 51.9 percent. Expect the D to shutdown Collins after he went off on them on Sunday.
The Hawks are a +3.5 point road dog with a +136 Moneyline, so Atlanta could hang around in this one. FanDuel’s Sportsbook has the middle-ground total at 222, balancing Miami’s solid defense with the Hawks’ poor D.
An easy-breezy Thursday evening in the Association with five games on the menu. Houston Rockets DeMarcus Cousins vs. Miami Heat
Nba Player Prop Bet Rules 2019
The Bet: Under 11.5 Points (-116)
The popular theory was DeMarcus Cousins would get a significant boost when big man teammate Christian Wood went out with an ankle injury. So far, that hasn’t really come to fruition. Cousins has only broken double-digits once in his past four games with a 12-point effort against San Antonio on Saturday. The former Warrior is averaging just 8.3 points per game over that span, a hair under his 8.8 average for the season. Cousins has hit the 30-minute mark in just one game over his past eight and hasn’t really found much consistency.
Nba Player Prop Bets Tonight
One thing that’s been consistent throughout the season has been the Miami Heat’s defense. Miami has clawed their way to the seventh-best team allowing just 110 points per game. The Heat also boasts the fifth-lowest opposing field goal percentage and is really making it challenging for players to score inside. Miami is giving up a league-low 39 points per game in the paint to go along with the sixth-best opponents’ field goal percentage on two-point shots. Cousins is shooting a career-low 34.7 percent from the field, so it doesn’t seem like Houston will make him a go-to guy against the Heat.
The Rockets are +2 point home dogs at FanDuel’s Sportsbook, while the Moneyline sits at +114. The total is set at a low 215, giving props to the Heat’s stingy defense.
Philadelphia 76ers Tobias Harris vs. Portland Trail Blazers
The Bet: Over 28.5 Points+Rebounds (-104)
Tobias Harris continues to be an unsung hero for the Philadelphia 76ers. Harris quietly goes about his business and puts up 20 a night without anyone really noticing him. The former Clipper sits in a giant shadow of seven-foot superstar Joel Embiid but night in and night out, he gets the job done. The 28-year-old is having a great year shooting a career-best 51.5 percent, getting it done ultra-efficiently on the offensive end. Harris is less than a point away from his career-best 20.9 scoring average he put up a few years ago in LA. Tobias is scoring in multiple ways, hitting 1.9 three-pointers a game while getting to the line a few times a night and putting up points in the paint. He’s also on the glass in the paint pulling down 7.5 boards per game.
The former 2011 first-round pick has put up three-straight double-doubles and has scored 21 in four of his past five games. Harris is averaging 24 a game in those four games and is pulling down 11 boards a game in his past three.
Portland continues to try and stay afloat with center Jusuf Nurkic and CJ McCollum on the shelf. The Trail Blazers aren’t doing it with defense giving up the sixth-most points in the league allowing over 115 a night. Portland is also allowing the sixth-most three-pointers and the third-highest field goal percentage to opponents. Harris has had some nice games against the Blazers, including an 11-rebound effort last week. He did only shoot five of 14 from the field for 12 points, but expect him to find some of those shots this time around.

Philadelphia is a firm -5.5 point road favorite with a -225 Moneyline after beating the Blazers by 16 in Philly last Thursday. -120. FanDuel’s Sportsbook’s total is relatively high for such a good defensive team like the Sixers sitting at 229.5, reflecting the Blazers’ subpar defense.
